Try connecting the DVD player to the Sky box instead.

When DVD player is turned on, the sky box will automatically switch the signal.

Have you set the Sky to output RGB instead of Composite?

I would have guessed it is the (white) ribbon tape that was not put back together correctly.

In all the cleaning and laser adjustment FAQs I have seen, people always mention not to disconnect the ribbon tape as it is a pain to put it back.

checkdnsrr() does NOT test an IP to see whether it's an open proxy or not.

Instead, it uses a specified black list to determin whether an IP is listed or not.

Use it with some major black lists like list.dsbl.org and sbl-xbl.spamhaus.org.

Check for open proxies (checkdnsrr() in php)
how does this work? are you sure you can recognize proxies this way.

i have seen another interesting experiment that used cookies to differentiate between users and robots. not bad, but there had been trouble with some browsers.

I have had to apply a combination of blog software (mt-bayesian) and Apache tweaks. See below for some options to fight spam comments: * Study your access log and try to find a pattern spammers are using. If you find one, edit your .htaccess to ban them commenting. * Almost all comment spam comes fr...

Thank you for pointing it out! The problem was that I was trying to limit a RewriteCond with the standard <LIMIT> directive. This only works for the mod_access commands and not for the mod_rewrite. The correct way of doing it is to add a RewriteCond %{REQUEST_METHOD} instead. Regarding the mt-bayesi...

Try a different game on your PS2.

Regarding the video. If other people see it but you don't from your work then it must be something wrong with your connection from work and NOT with the camera it self. First criteria is being able to install ActiveX components. Many companies block this due to many security issues and if this is yo...

One undocumented feature seems to be a built in DNS proxy on the WAG54G.

If I set up a computer with static IP, I set both the default gateway and DNS IP to 192.168.1.1 and it works... but since I am paranoid I usually switch later to the DNS IPs given to me by my ISP.

The request for the username and password seems to be the dial-up connection. You want to set up Internet Explorer to "never dial a connection". Make sure the ethernet cable you are using is NOT cross wired. Cross wired cables are used in non-router set-ups, for example Internet Connection...
