Dear all,
I have an IPAQ h5550 running a GIS software called ArcPad. I have a Fortuna Clip-on GPS. The manual says under the accuracy section that it can achieve 7 meter accuracy with WAAS correction.
As you all know the Fortuna has nothing more than a power button and that fiddly switch for ST/XT mode! So how does one turn on the WAAS capability? I live in the UK and when I look at the track log within ArcPad it only ever reports a standard GPS fix. Does the GPS automatically switch to WAAS mode when it starts picking up the correct satellites or is it something one has to turn on?

Clip-on WAAS correction
There is a lot more about this at the GPS Passion forums.
WAAS is not available under XT mode and I think that XT mode may be comparable accuracy (plus it has better reception).
