As I said before, I was only able to establish a VPN connection between two WAG54G routers (both LANs were then connected). I have tried with the Cisco VPN client from a recent version, it is not able to connect to other VPN gateways than Cisco products. Which VPN client are you using? Have a look a...

It is possible to establish VPN connection to the WAG54G. I have only succeeded with another WAG54G (server-server VPN tunnel) but the technology allows an IPSEC client (laptop, desktop PC, etc) to connect as well. The WAG54G supports two different VPN tunnels. This means that it should be able to c...

Hello Zillah, the screen you are showing just allows outgoing VPN connections from the router. This would apply to the laptop (if you for example were using a VPN client on the laptop and connecting to your office). To be able to connect to the Linksys router VPN there is another screen. It is calle...

Fixing a disconnected silver strip
First off, if the silver wire disconnects, you CAN put it back together. Just take the bottom off, look under the CD tray(its in a small crack, hard to see without a flashlight) and you will find a little plug in that is just big enough for the silver wire. Get it in there, blue side up(i think) an...

Disconnecting the silver strip is the most common mistake. Relax, breathe, it is possible to reconnect it: First off, if the silver wire disconnects, you CAN put it back together, just take the bottom off, look under the CD tray(its in a small crack, hard to see without a flashlight) and you will fi...

Welcome to the forum Vince! Have you read the How to connect your Plasma TV post? The Hitachi looks like a nice Plasma, especially at that price (£1,300?) It seems as if the TV has 2 composite connections, 2 component connections, 1 SCART, 1 s-video as well as 1 aerial. Correct me if I am wrong? I a...

Ouch, good luck with that. My wag54g v1 finally gave up. The ports on the back stopped working (ADSL and LAN), WiFi still works. It was a great relief to upgrade to a Billion Voip router. I have had too many problems with the wag54g. Mainly low data through put, bad coverage and constant overheating...

Which ports must be forwarded? This is different from game to game. Try checking at the official web site of the game.... or ask their support. And which problem does the V2 have with DMZ? I have not heard anything specific but your set-up seemed to suggest it. If all is identical, except swapping ...

I am playing with a PS2 behind the WAG54G. It has worked on all firmwares. There was one game (SOCOM?) which would not connect to game server and I had to put the PS2 in DMZ. For all other games NAT is sufficient. I am on the PS2 Beta team so have played at least 15 different games online. I don't t...
