The switch is VERY bad design indeed. However, using a tool with a fine point, I am always able to switch it properly. The unit is always in off mode while switching of course. I do notice a difference when in XT mode: faster acquisition of signal, better accuracy, better reception when under trees....

Is it just with that game you are having problems or are all games behaving like that?

The lack of colour and flicker you get sometimes if your TV does not support the TV signal from the game. Is both the TV and the game UK purchased?

Judging from the connectors on the device (there are not connectors besides power) you cannot.

There might be an advanced way of opening the device and soldering or what not but I think its better to buy a second unit that does not support BT, only wire.

Good news, that sounds a lot better than the 24hr I read somewhere else!

I have had BT connection problems 1 or two times and just resetting my iPaq and power cycling the Fortuna helped.

There isn't.... but if you have updated it previously you should have the .bin file somewhere on you computer? If it is the original firmware, then take not of the exact version. Have a look at Linksys firmware (FTP) to see if it is there. Since the WAG54G does not support saving of settings, one go...

The Linksys WAG54G does not care whether it's a newer or older firmware you are uploading as it will always completely overwrite the previous firmware. Just make sure you are using a WAG54G firmware. After updating with new firmware, it's good to do a factory reset as any old settings may be incompa...

Thank you for the review Ady!

I have had many curious users asking on this forum whether the low price means bad quality.

I think you have made it clear that despite the low price of the Techwood is a decent Plasma TV with all the Plasma benefits.

cheers,

Yes, Airport ID would be the same as MAC address in the PC world. Adding your AirportID/MAC address to the restricted list AND checking "allow only" will be enough. You may want to power cycle the router just to make sure the new settings come into effect. I hope that you are aware that th...

You did not mention what size or model it is. Is it new or used and etc. From other owners posts it sounds like the Techwood has its problems. I have also seen online that people complain about video quality, that it is worse than with their old TV. Best would be to compare the Techwood with other p...

I foward 3 ports on my router (both TCP and UDP). I think one is for "control" and the two other for audio/video. May be that you forward the control and video only.

Is your client (IE) connecting over TCP? (the connection method is states in the video window).
