Update on the firmware version on the PSP I just bought in Akihabara - it is version 2.50.

Prices for hot line items like this are ringed in Japan and very rarely show any downward movement until a replacement model comes out. I expect the PSP will be the same until the new version comes out (sometime next year?)

Can we download games for the Japanese PSP from the internet?

I am buying one of these Jap gizmos today (I work in Akihabara) but don't like the cost of the games, hence the interest in download.
