I went out and bought Collateral. I decided to watch it, and I went to put in Disc 1 and it wont read it. It shows my memory cards but wont read the disc but shows no errors. So I tried Disc 2 and it worked fine, but its not the movie. Please help.

i'd say your film disc is simply knackered.

I'd probably agree with ADY. Try another movie, or some DVD-based PS2 games to check if the lens is ok. Check the movie disk for smudges and scratches or warping.
