port one does not work

I droped my ps2 and now port one and the controller for port one wont work . It will load games and moives., but i cant use those ports. how do I fix it please Razz

Maybe the ports are gone bad, or the ribbon cable connecting the ports has been dislodged. Just try re-seating the ribbon cable first, else you'll need a new port. Please be careful if you're planning on re-seating the cables, as improper removal may damage the cable or the latches that hold it in place. Hope the info helps.
